Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
Grace and peace be with you.
In a world that is often overwhelmed by adversity, the light of hope shines brightest in the simple yet profound acts of love, mercy, and service. Today, I write to you with a heart full of encouragement and a call to action for our brothers and sisters in India, many of whom are enduring the profound hardships of poverty and hunger.
To those who are suffering, we want you to know: You are not forgotten. Your struggles, resilience, and inherent dignity inspire us to stand with you in faith and solidarity. As the Psalmist reminds us, “The Lord hears the cry of the poor” (Psalm 34:6). In your moments of difficulty, know that God is with you, providing strength, comfort, and hope. As people of faith, we are called to embody the love of Christ, reaching out to those who are in need.
In Matthew 25:35, Jesus tells us, “For I was hungry and you gave Me something to eat…” In sharing food with the hungry, we not only nourish the body but also uplift the spirit, serving Christ Himself in the most vulnerable among us.
It is in this spirit of service that I ask you to join us in supporting the mission of [THE SAMRAKSHA CHARITABLE TRUST] Nonprofit Organization/Food Bank], an organization devoted to providing sustenance and hope to families in need across India. Your generosity will allow us to extend the reach of this important work, ensuring that no child is left to sleep hungry and no family is overlooked.
Let us remember that true wealth is not found in material possessions, but in the love, compassion, and service we offer to others. In coming together, we can help create a world where no one is abandoned and every act of kindness sows the seeds of a brighter, more compassionate tomorrow.
I urge you, dear brothers and sisters, to join hands with us in this mission. Whether through your prayers, your time, or your financial contributions, know that each effort, no matter how small, has the power to make a significant difference. Let us be instruments of God’s grace, sharing the abundance of His blessings with those who need it most.
May the Lord bless and keep you. May He inspire each of us to live with hearts full of compassion, and hands eager to serve.
Yours in faith and service,
The Most Reverend Msgr. Arturo Querijero Ferreras
First Presiding Diocesan Bishop of The ECSGS
